What are the precautions for CNC machining?

The following points should be noted during CNC machining:

Equipment inspection and preheating: Before machining, thoroughly check all parts of the CNC machine, confirm that fasteners are not loose, that bearings, motors, and other key parts are operating normally, and ensure that no foreign objects interfere with equipment operation. For CNC machines that require preheating, preheat according to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure the equipment operates at the optimal working temperature.

Program testing and simulation: Use simulation software to fully test the written CNC program to avoid material waste and equipment damage caused by programming errors. Use a dry run (running without cutting material) to check the actual performance of the CNC program and ensure that all mechanical movements meet expectations.

Workpiece clamping and positioning: Select suitable fixtures and clamping devices to ensure that the workpiece is firmly fixed and accurately positioned during processing. Use precise positioning methods, such as tool setters and fixture positioning systems, to ensure processing accuracy.

Tool selection and use: Select appropriate tools based on the workpiece material type, hardness, and processing requirements, and regularly check the tool wear, replacing severely worn tools in a timely manner. Choose the appropriate tool type, such as high-speed steel tools, carbide tools, and alloy tools, and select the appropriate inserts and tool holders according to processing needs.

Processing parameter optimization: Adjust processing parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate, and cutting depth according to the workpiece material, tool type, and machine tool characteristics to improve processing efficiency and surface quality. Monitor vibration and temperature during the processing process and adjust parameters in a timely manner to reduce vibration and control temperature rise.

Environment and safety: Maintain a clean and orderly working environment around the CNC machine and ensure good ventilation. Strictly follow safety operating procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves.

Quality control and maintenance: Regularly perform maintenance and calibration of the CNC machine to ensure the equipment's high-precision processing capabilities. Conduct strict quality checks on the processed workpieces to ensure that the products meet technical specifications.
